Octora Terms of Service

By signing up on Octora you agree to these terms and acknowledge that you have read them.

Submitting a feed to the Octora Directory

Please note that submitting feeds to the Octora Directory is not the same thing as sumitting a feed for being crawled/indexed by Octora.

Anyone has the right to submit a feed to Octora's directory, the only thing mandatory request is to make sure that you're not breaking at least one of the following rules:

• the feed information must not contain abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law.
• the feed information must not contain any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.
• the description of the feed you're submitting must be according to the content of the feed and must not be longer than 255 characters.
• the URL you're submitting must point to a real XML formatted feed, and the content has to be valid
• submitting SPAM feeds to the Octora directory is prohibited

Directory feed submissions that aren't according to our feed submission rules will be rejected and the Octora Directory editors have the right to remove an already reviewed submission or a pending one without any notification. This usually happens after changing the Terms of Serice page in order to provide better service for Octora visitors.

The submission service may be changed or terminated at anytime without prior notification.

The Octora Affiliate Program

When you sign-up on Octora, an affiliate account is also created for your convenience.

The affiliate program can bring comission to your door using two basic steps:

i) people click your affiliate link and join Octora:

ii) when a member refered by you is buying at least five Tag-Ads, you get 50% comission at each billing cycle for that particular customer you refered!

The Octora Affiliate Program requires that cookies to be enabled on the refered visitors' browser, in order to track the clicks and members sign-ups. Each cookie has a 30 days life and it will expire after this period. If a visitor who clicked your affiliate link joins the website in 30 days, your affiliate account is ready for receiving a comission of 50% whenver this member is purchasing new tags.

If for whatever reason, the affiliate cookie isn't "anchored" on our visitor's browser (maybe because the refered visitor doesn't have cookies feature enabled, or he deleted them, etc), you will not earn any comission if that person becomes a member and starts buying Tag-Ads. Also, you are solely responsible for utilising the affiliate link. Octora does not accept any responsibility for the improper use of the affiliate link(s) formats and therefore Octora is not responsible for any loss or fees as a result of your errors.

You agree that you will not engage, participate or otherwise become involved in any activity or course of action that tends to diminish the reputation of Octora.

If an Octora customer's purchase has to be refunded, we retain the right not to pay any comission to you resulting from that particular purchase. Octora is also reserving the right to cancel the commission payments to you, if there are reasons to believe that there has been fraudulent attempts on using the Octora Affiliate Program.

Your affiliate comission is released on every day of 15 of each month of the year. This comission is built by the sales made by Octora in the last month. For example, if someone pays 4$ per month, and the last time when this member paid his subscription was March, you will receive your comission on April 15th.

The affiliate comission is paid via PayPal only at this time, so you will need to have a PayPal account setted up before the first payment.
